In January 2023, we stayed in Mexico City gathering new material and working with Ensemble Liminar (MX). Then further to Xilitla, the town near Edward James sculpture landscape Las Pozas, in the rain forest. Back home in Oslo, we developed the material from Mexico and presented it for the first time at Kunstnernes Hus Kino (Oslo) in August 2023. α ζ is an expanded cinema experience, a concert and a performance.

We are not sure whether it is all sufficiently clear

that we are in Mexico City

and that Mexico City is an island in an ancient lake

and that the architecture of the metropolis hides our interconnectedness to this

and thus prevents our connectedness to the question of WHERE ARE WE

Above in the clear sunshine     

hangs a fist-sized stone 30 meters up

the metal shines white and sharply

a captured meteorite

Scattered on the ground lies black basalt rocks 

remembering their cavities and eruptions.
